Eva is white, cis, hetero woman from the countryside. A registered nurse and sociologist, she trained as a nurse in Germany and has practised in both German and British healthcare systems. She holds a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Kassel and an MSc in Sociology and Global Change from the University of Edinburgh. After a research post at Charité’s Institute of Clinical Nursing Science in Berlin, she is now a PhD candidate researching and teaching in the sociology of health and healthcare at the University of Siegen. Her PhD explores organisational knowledge embodied in nursing praxis and how the micropolitics of nursing affect patient care. Eva has two dogs and is committed to improving animal welfare.
