Jess is a white, fat, queer, genderqueer, feminist, antiracist, abolitionist, nurse dissident, activist-scholar. Dillard-Wright is associate professor and associate dean of equity and inclusion at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing, University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and co-editor-in-chief of Nursing Philosophy. Her/their scholarship attends to ideas in nursing, working the intersections where feminism, nursing, and activism interact, from queer nursing histories and radical imagination to posthuman and new materialist care ethics. A founding member of the Nursology Theory Collective and co-organizer of Nursing Mutual Aid, she/they co-edited Nursing a Radical Imagination (Routledge, 2022) and remain a tentacle of the Compost Collaborative.
