Patrick Martin is a professor (professeur) in the Faculté des sciences infirmières at Université Laval, Québec, Canada. His work brings political philosophy into nursing: care ethics and democratic institutions, anarchism, epistemic injustice, and nurses’ resistance. He co-authored the collective’s imperative for critical posthuman research in nursing and appears in the Solidarity videos. In 2025 the Fondation de l’IUCPQ funded his study of LGBTQ2S+ nurses’ experiences of caring for LGBTQ2S+ patients.
